Things I Love: Vintage Glass
My Grandmother Ball gave me a glass dish.
It's not just any glass dish.
This glass dish is old. Like vintage old.
It's orange
It's heavy
It's shaped like a bird
And I LOVE it!
Many of my childhood memories include this dish in my grandmother's living room.
Sometimes it even held a few of her crochet needles and a small patch of her latest work.
What I remember most about this dish was that I was intrigued by it.
I loved that it wasn't like any other dish I had ever seen before.
When I found out she was going to hand it down to me, was well, just awesome!
Nan...thank you so much for allowing me to have one of your treasured possessions.
I promise to take care of it and cherish it until the day I'm ready to pass it along.
I’ve been trying to figure out the name on the label of who the maker is but I can’t make it out.
If any of you are familiar with this vintage glass or the manufacturer can you let me know? Thanks!
Oh and on another sidenote...it totally goes with my Orange Chair...woot woot!

Girlfriends
I'm a huge believer in the power of girlfriends and the positive effect they can have on your life and well being.
Not all women agree with me, but for me they bring me a balance that Kristen cannot just provide.
Yes I love him dearly, yes he's my best friend,...but there are times it's a female's perspective, hug, laugh, that is exactly what the doctor ordered.
This past year's Girls Annual Pumpkin Carve was no exception, with the hectic life I've been trying to maintain as of late. A night with the girls, laughter, tears, fun and honest open heart sharing was exactly what the doctor ordered....as always :)
Thanks girls....my life is fuller & richer because of each of you.

A Year Ago...
A year ago I was adjusting to motherhood and coming to a realization that I missed fall.
Somehow everything was brown and grey and I missed all the colours changing, watching them fall to the ground, and enjoying the brisk fresh cool air.
This year I've savoured Fall in all it's glorious wonder
A few weeks ago I was sure to get a few quick images of Jesse amongst the Fall beauty
I'm starting to feel better and get a grasp on things since my last post. To all who showed me your awesome and never ending support & love :) Thank yoU!

Halloween 2010
Seriously....do I have to wear this?
Once outside he was like a wild dinosaur!
We apparently unleashed the beast.....lol
Going up to the first door....trick or treat
Our house for the later trick or treaters since Jesse went when it was still daylight
Life is a bit nuts right now, to the point that I'm feeling very detached.
It's the only word that really describes how I feel even though it doesn't really make sense.
Keep me in your thoughts and pray that thinks start settling down soon....or something?!?!
