Meadows Wedding: Heather & Roger (Part 1)

Heather & Roger had both experienced love gone bad.
The hurt and pain made them both wonder if they would ever love again.
But with the support of their friends & family, they would heal and unexpectedly fall in love.
However, this time around they knew it was right.
Knew it was meant to be.
This time, they knew their love was true and would last a lifetime.
I had the pleasure of spending the day with Heather & Roger in Meadows as they pledged their love and lives to one another.

Heather's dress was beautiful and had the most amazing detail.

I LOVED Heather's red shoes!
How sexy is that?

Beautiful detail

Another shot of the shoes cause I roll like that

We should all do this

Heather you're beautiful

Megan & Tracy were the sweetest bridesmaids

Flowers by Colemans

Okay so I think I can safely say that Heather's parents think I'm nuts.
I kept going on and on how I loved the light under this tree.
I could have stayed here all day.

I even nabbed Roger for a few here before the ceremony

The groomsmen Melvin and Adrian were a riot :)

Roger was pretty sharp himself

And I'll finish up part 1 with a couple ring shots

This one definitely one of my FAVE images from the whole day

Stay tuned for part 2
I'm finally using a computer that works as efficiently as I want and expect it too!
What a relief :)

Just Because: Sarah

You might remember Sarah's 1 year old pics here!
If not, no worries.
Here's her 2 year old pics. And she's as cute, gorgeous, adorable as ever.

It was a very hot day but we worked it out.

Some running around

Love

Love Love

But after a while the heat was too much and we headed to the beach where the breeze and water were perfect and so refreshing!

Action shot!

Oh Sarah keep growing and getting cuter.
Just be careful throwing those rocks!!! :)

Just Because: Sheena, Keith & Charlie

They admitted they never had family photos taken.
They said it as if they felt bad.
I explained to them that most families only invest in family portraits once every 5 to 10 years and that they were completely normal.
To which I received a few laughs and smart remarks from Keith :)
And the rest of the afternoon held the same sort of feel.
We joked, laughed and had a great time exploring the location they had picked for their first ever family portraits.
Keith & Sheena had taken time to look for the perfect spot, when they told me Bailey's Point, I said sure and didn't think too much more about it.
Until I arrived.....Wow!
I walked the whole length of the beach with the stupidest grin on my face because I loved it so much.
It had old falling down sheds, awesome rugged rocks and of course the beautiful beach and water.
I also found out that Bailey's Point used to be the spot where the large ships from "back in the day" would dock for the trading post since it's one of the deepest parts of the bay.
I may have some of the facts mixed up but that's the jest of it :)

I say old falling down shed, Keith says this used to be someone's house. Either way I say awesome!

Some fun skipping rocks

And jumping rocks

My fave!!!!
Charlie is adorable.
Which I'm sure a soon to be 12 year old boy doesn't want to be called but he really is!

Funny story....
I was looking through my viewfinder setting up this shot and I kept telling Keith and Sheena to get closer, get closer.
What I didn't realize is that little "gap" between them is actually a huge gap!
Honestly I didn't notice!
No harm was intended. I still don't think they believe me....lol.

Sheena, Keith & Charlie I love you guys!
I love how you're a genuine family.
I love that you're the real deal. Simple, fun, honest.
And you get brownie points for picking my favourite location thus far :)
With much appreciation, Christa

Just Because: The Hann Family

Brianna was a miracle baby.
Terri, who remains in remission, had just beaten Hodgkin's disease and found herself to be with child.
Three and a half years later and in amazing health Terri and her husband David are expecting another bundle of joy.....a baby boy.
It was my honour to take their maternity/family photos a few weeks ago and I apologize for the delay in your sneak peek. I had such a nice afternoon with the family. Especially chatting with Terri talking about old times and catching up on the latest. In spending the afternoon with them a few things really stood out to me about the family, and even more so Terri.
I admire Terri's strength both physically and mentally.
I admire the mom and woman that she is.
I admire her sweetness and sensibility.
Terri has a lovely husband, David, whom you can tell he adores her.
And well Brianna, let's just say she's one of my new best friends.
Yeah I love her that much :)

Terri you're beautiful

My friend Brianna :)
Love you pretty girl

My fave

This one is a close second

Terri, David, Brianna & baby boy to be.
You're a beautiful family!
You've faced many obstacles and have grown, learned and became better people because of it.
You are much to be admired for so many different reasons.
Thank you for sharing your lives with me and inspiring me more than you probably even realize.

With much appreciation, Christa

Trash the Dress: Jody

She says she's not a girly girl but refuses to leave the house without make up
She says she's tough but can tear up reading one of my blog posts  (wink, wink)
She says she's a Harley Davidson biker chick but nurtures her children with a love only a mother could have
That's Jody
She's part of many of my fond childhood memories, from primary school right up to highschool graduation.
On the evening of Jody's trash the dress session another fond memory with her has gone into the Christa archvies.
We giggled, laughed, got wet, dirty and she was my toughest customer.
She made fun of my tactics & style. She made faces when I was trying to get her to be serious.
Despite giving me such a hard time (I really do love you Jody) she made looking beautiful EASY!

The light was auh-may-zing!!

This one could totally pass as a magazine ad
Maybe some Calvin Klein cologne?

My fave

Jody you are a joy to be around. As beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside.
I love how we disagreed and shared smart banter as we climb rocks, waded in freezing cold water and took in the gorgeous sunset.
I value our friendship and I adore the woman you've become over the years.
Here's to you being you and hoping we never lose touch.
With Much Appreciation, Christa

Just Because: The Brake Family

They are a family that take road trips and mini vacations.
A family that loves to laugh and play.
A Mom who'll used silly boy humour like saying "poopy head" just to get her kids to laugh.
A Dad who just get's Mommys and the kids silly humour.
That's the Brake Family or also known as the fun family :)
There's just so much joy and laughter among them.
And a true spirit of fun and enjoyment.

I met up with the family on a beach in Pasadena. The light was harsh but I was able to snag these awesome images of Miss Gina

Yes that's right Miss Gina.
She loves the camera, the attention and was the perfect little model.
And she has the most awesome mouse-like voice that makes me want to just pick her up and squeeze really tight. Maybe a little too tight LOL :)

Then Daymon picked the best spots amongst the trees not far from the beach for a few more photo ops.
He is one cool dude

The cutest smile....I've never been happier to see his smile

Sibling Love

The lovely Mom & Dad - Jody & Craig

Yes lets attempt being serious for a moment. Let's just say this shot took a few takes

Jody, Craig, Daymon & Gina
You're one of my favourite families to photograph. I always have fun. It's always laid back.
And it's a very accurate testament to the type of family you really are.
It's full of fun & laughter. You take the time to play and enjoy life.
If only we all could take a lesson from you and take the time to enjoy life just a little bit more.
With much appreciation, Christa
